“We are pioneering a unique program of supports for the Deaf in Bendigo and beyond!”
Eagles Corner’s purpose is to empower the Deaf and Hard of Hearing by building bridges to connect, contribute and participate in the wider community.
We provide opportunities through Deaf friendly services in Auslan and assist with navigating the NDIS while ensuring improved access and inclusion.
We continue to evolve and adapt to meet the diverse needs of our clients to set and achieve their goals, gain additional life skills and to improve overall wellbeing.
Our collaboration with likeminded organisations allows us to offer individual support for those with life controlling issues including Mental Health, addiction and social isolation.

Impact Recovery has witnessed a growing demand for health and wellbeing services for the Deaf community, a demand Impact Recovery has not been in a position alone to meet or serve, to the level of quality and care deserving of this community.
Through relationship, Impact Recovery has realised this capacity with Eagles Corner. Our role has been in developing a solution to capitalise on the resources of both organisations. Rather than simply looking at the problem of limited support, two organisations are working together for a common goal to magnify the capacity to meet this rising need.
It is in the spirit of a united wraparound approach of therapeutic community care that this was identified in our strategic plan – the necessity to engage other similar external organisations and to offer any resources available to us to enhance the process of recovery.
We specifically address all key areas of a person’s mental health and wellbeing, self-awareness, traits and behaviours which inhibit personal growth. We address grief, loss and trauma and work with identified goals and a sight firmly set on a path forward for each individual.
The opportunity to share facilities and expertise serves as a vital and necessary part of the recovery journey. A strong focus on skills building and employment pathways for the Deaf community will help each individual realise they are valued and essential as contributors to the wider community.
Impact Recovery recognise that Eagles Corner would benefit from this support, and it is with this underlying foundation of supporting each other and other people with barriers in our industry sector, that we encourage and invite you, the community, to respond favourably to the growth and fostering of this strategic alliance. Ultimately the betterment of any member of our community serves to benefit the community at large, this is our collective social impact!
The vision inspiring this strategic alliance is to be an expression of advocacy and support! It is to this end we, as faith-based organisations, exist – to empower people to ‘Rebuild, Restore and Renew’ their lives with “Freedom from Addiction” on the pathway of mental wellness.
Hi, my name is Simon Beasley. I work with Eagles Corner program for Alcohol and Other Drugs Education and Mental Health Awareness and understanding. To improve your quality of life and wellbeing.
Impact Recovery has seen a growing need for health and wellbeing services for Deaf people. Impact Recovery has joined with Eagles Corner to provide appropriate, quality care for Deaf people.
Impact Recovery and Eagles Corner have been working together with resources from both organisations to respond to the rising need in the community.
Through our strategic planning process our organisation saw a need to connect with other organisations. If a person is struggling in their life, they need a ‘wraparound’ approach, they need appropriate services and support to give them the best chance of recovery.
Our organisation works with the client and gives them support so they can focus on dealing with their mental health, physical health and self-awareness, realising they have bad habits and need to change their behaviour. We support people through grief, loss and the trauma process. We also support people to set goals for their future.
Impact Recovery and Eagles Corner will share facilities such as accommodation and experienced staff which is necessary for a person’s recovery. We focus on improving skills and finding employment pathways to help each person feel valued and an essential contributor in the community.
Impact Recovery wants to support Eagles Corner as we support each other and anyone experiencing barriers. We hope the Deaf Community feel positive about our service. If we support one person in their recovery, the impact is felt in the whole community and everyone benefits.
The vision both organisations share is for advocacy and support. Both organisations follow the Christian faith and we want to encourage and empower Deaf people to Rebuild, Restore and Renew their lives with “Freedom from Addiction” and become mentally well.
